Series Hybrid with Genset

By utilizing onboard electrical generation systems, yachts can efficiently charge their batteries and later discharge them through onboard electric motors. As a result, this approach reduces noise and emissions during operation. Furthermore, optimizing generator loads enhances fuel consumption, lowers service costs, and minimizes exhaust emissions. Consequently, this system decreases engine running hours and enables full electric operation when needed.

Parallel Hybrid With Inline Electric Motor

In addition, a diesel engine connects to the propeller via a clutch and gearbox in a standard propulsion system. Simultaneously, an electric motor and battery pack integrate into the gearbox in parallel. This system allows seamless switching between electric drive and standard diesel power. During operation, the engine recharges the batteries, which later discharge to enhance overall system efficiency. As a result, fuel consumption decreases, enabling zero-emissions operation when needed.
