Reliable Prime Power for Moroccan Water Infrastructure
Baudouin’s PowerKit engines played a critical role in powering water infrastructure in Southern Morocco, addressing the need for reliable electricity at the SPF Pumping Station and Youssef Ibn Tachine Dam Water Treatment Station. Collaborating with EMSA Generators, the project ensured a stable water supply for three remote villages in the Middle Atlas mountains.
Baudouin’s engines were selected for their exceptional performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in prime power applications, particularly vital in regions with challenging conditions and inconsistent electricity access.
The project included the installation and commissioning of two generator sets equipped with Baudouin engines: the 12M26G1100/5, delivering 1100 kVA, and the 20M33G2250/5, providing 2250 kVA. Together, they ensured a combined output of 3350 kVA for continuous operation. Designed for heavy-duty, continuous use, these engines performed as the primary power source for water pumping and treatment facilities. Both engines are certified to ISO 8528-1 and ISO 3046 standards, guaranteeing compliance with international quality and performance requirements. They feature advanced fuel injection systems that optimize fuel consumption while maintaining consistent power delivery, with the 12M26 utilizing mechanical injection and the 20M33 using electronic injection for enhanced precision. Their electronic governors ensured stable power output, critical for the uninterrupted operation of water infrastructure.
Baudouin’s PowerKit engines cover a power range from 18 to 4125 kVA, making them versatile for various critical applications. Engineered to European quality standards, they are known for their robust construction, incorporating cast iron cylinder blocks and hardened steel crankshafts, ensuring durability and long operational life under continuous use. These engines are optimized for extended maintenance intervals, reducing downtime and operational costs. Their high fuel efficiency not only lowers operating expenses but also aligns with sustainability objectives by minimizing emissions. Additionally, Baudouin’s global service network ensures fast access to spare parts and technical support, maximizing uptime for critical projects like this one.
Client testimonial
“We are immensely grateful for this excellent partner award by Shandong Heavy Industry Group during their 2023 Partner Event… It’s been already 19 years of cooperation without interruption. Our journey started with Weichai WP engines …and now reached the highest quantities with Baudouin engines. We already sold more than 25,000 units of engines of SHIG. Thank you for the honour and all the support.”
