Baudouin Marine Propulsion for the Lito Mare
Baudouin’s marine propulsion engines continue to set benchmarks in reliability and performance across various maritime applications. Recently, Baudouin partnered with Xanthis S.A., its trusted distributor in Greece, to equip the Lito Mare—a luxurious private pleasure boat—with cutting edge marine propulsion technology.
This installation marked the debut of the 6F21 engines in Greece, further establishing Baudouin’s presence in the pleasure and light commercial marine market.
Baudouin’s 6F21 propulsion engines were selected for their unparalleled compactness, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions compared to previous engine models.
The Lito Mare’s advanced propulsion system was designed to meet stringent classification society standards, including IMO II and EPA 3-REC. This ensures compliance with international regulations while delivering high performance.
The engines, capable of generating a combined 1630 HP (1200kW) at 2300 RPM, make the Lito Mare ideally suited forleisure cruising. The boat—a 26-meter GRP-hulled vessel with a cruise speed of 17 knots—can accommodate up to 11 passengers in style and comfort.
To support extended voyages, the propulsion system’s fuel efficiency plays a critical role in reducing operating costs and environmental impact.
The installation of the Baudouin engines was performed by a specialized subcontracted workshop appointed by the vessel’s owners, ensuring seamless integration into the Lito Mare’s systems. Xanthis S.A. coordinated the delivery and provided engineering support, aligning with Baudouin’s commitment to excellence in customer service and technical expertise.
The success of this project underscores Baudouin’s ability to deliver customized, high-quality propulsion solutions for demanding marine applications.
