Reliable Standby Power for Water Infrastructure

In the diverse and demanding landscape of the Antalya region, water supply is not just a service. It is a lifeline.

To ensure an uninterrupted flow of essential water resources, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, in collaboration with ASAT, the Antalya Water and Wastewater Administration, implemented a robust power solution designed to withstand extreme operational environments.

This landmark infrastructure project relies on a fleet of Baudouin-powered generator sets, supporting water pumping stations and transfer points across the region.

From coastal urban centres to the remote peaks of the Taurus Mountains, Baudouin engines help power critical water infrastructure where reliability is essential.

Antalya’s water network must operate across highly varied terrain and climate conditions.

The infrastructure serves both dense urban areas and remote mountain villages, where stable power is critical to maintaining water distribution.

To protect the continuity of service, the project required generator sets capable of providing dependable standby power whenever the main power supply is interrupted.

Baudouin engines were selected to support the pumping stations and transfer points that keep water moving across this challenging network.

The project includes a fleet of 59 high-specification generators.

Each unit was selected according to the specific requirements of the site, with Baudouin models ranging from 4M10G110/5 to 12M33G1400/5.

This broad power range, from 110 kVA to 1400 kVA, allows the system to match different operational needs across Antalya’s water infrastructure.

Smaller units support local transfer points, while higher-output generators provide standby power for more demanding pumping station applications.

Baudouin engines serve as the heartbeat of Antalya’s critical water infrastructure.

They power essential pumping stations and strategic transfer points that must operate reliably across the region’s complex geography.

Whether exposed to intense summer heat or sub-zero winter conditions in the mountains, the system is designed to provide energy security for water distribution.

This ensures that communities across Antalya can rely on stable water access, even in demanding environmental conditions.

The project was delivered with Arken Jeneratör as partner.

By combining Arken’s power generation expertise with Baudouin’s engine range, the project provides a resilient standby power solution adapted to the needs of Antalya’s water network.

The deployment demonstrates the importance of selecting engine platforms that can combine reliability, durability and flexibility across multiple infrastructure sites.

This project highlights the role of Baudouin PowerKit engines in essential infrastructure applications.

By integrating Baudouin’s durability with ASAT’s vision for a resilient water supply system, the partnership helps ensure that critical infrastructure can operate continuously.

For the people of Antalya, from city streets to the highest mountain villages, this deployment supports the reliability of one of the region’s most vital services: water supply.
