Business & Data Analyst

Location: Cassis (France) | Duration: 6 months | Current studies:BA or BS in IT or Information Systems Management | Department: IT

Directly reporting to the IT Director, you will be responsible for:

    • Gathering project analysis metrics and data:
    • Requirements
      • Requirements analysis, organization, management & communication
      • Defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements;
      • Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models
      • Translating and simplifying requirements
    • User stories
      • Accurately representing the needs of internal and external customers
      • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
      • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
      • Assisting with the business case
      • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
    • Interface specs
      • Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
      • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications
      • Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
      • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any system changes
    • Data mapping specs
      • Execute on data requests
      • Ability to map relational data from different sources
    • Report specs
      • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
      • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends
      • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
      • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
    • UAT specs
      • Developing acceptance tests and supporting automated and functional testing
      • Reviewing QA testing strategy and test plans
      • Partnering with development and QA on solution assessment and validation
      • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements
    • Assist with team SharePoint redesign and organization of internal documents
    • Performs other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Your Experiences & Qualifications

  • Pursuing a B.A. or B.S. in management information systems/information technology, computer science, or a similar degree
  • Basic knowledge of Prince 2 or agile methodology/practices
  • Basic knowledge of analysis practices and techniques
  • Basic knowledge of visual and process modelling
  • SQL Querying experience (asset and data moves)
  • Basic knowledge of IT processes, industry standards and best practices
  • Understanding of business practices/concepts
