Overhead Buyer (M/F)

We are looking for a: Overhead Buyer (M/F)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage the buying process for a given set of goods in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery lead time targets,
  • Provide technical / commercial assistance to develop awareness of manufacturing processes,
  • Ensure the supply of required goods and materials and prevent any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations,
  • Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets,
  • Optimize purchasing and procurement processes,
  • Balance both tactical executions with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects,
  • Participate to improve the purchasing process (from sourcing to the receotion of goods or service),
  • Select providers and suppliers (definition with the requesters departements the technical needs & specifications),
  • Organize calls for tenders to select the service providers and suppliers likely to meet the specifications,
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement,
  • Negotiate contracts, improved prices, and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods,
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers,
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs and lead time where possible,
  • Actively participate in supplier performance reviews and meetings,
  • Negotiate with suppliers and define the terms of the contract (prices, delivery times, etc.)
  • Perform with the concerned teams the ERP setting and the supply orders,
  • Set up key indicators and dashboards to measure the performance of the actions carried out,

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Licence or Master Degree in purchasing, supply chain or a related field,
  • 2 years of related experience in purchasing operations technical and overhead,
  • Good knowledge in negociation, good technical knowledge (mechanical and or electrical),
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English,
  • Organized and able to set priorities and targets,
  • Adaptability, assertiveness, and flexibility,
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking, and can work on own initiative whilst also working to deliver, independently on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards,
  • Good computer skills, with proficiency with in Microsoft Office, ERP,
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and valuing varied perspectives.
  • Strong analytical and continuous improvement skills.
  • Good relational skills, ability to work in team
