Marine Designer (M/F)

We are looking for a: Marine Designer (M/F)

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Study of specifications
  • Design assemblies and perform elementary calculations
  • Define component’s, equipment’s, or layout’s plans
  • Establish the technical nomenclature and documents relating to their dissemination
  • Participate in simulations of the system created in Production and adjust if necessary
  • Complete project technical documentation
  • Implement developments within budget
  • Provide innovative solutions by guaranteeing the best mix of quality, costs, deadlines
  • Perform a technology watch
  • Actively participate in cross-business projects

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-years technical Degree in Mechanics, Marine or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics, tolerancing, materials resistance.
  • Experience in a Marine Design office is a plus.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking, and can work on own initiative whilst also working to deliver independently on time with a high level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAO/DAO (ProE / Creo / Auto-Cad)
